Session of the Executive Board of the UNESCO institute on information technologies in education took place in Moscow from June 16 to 18. According to the information of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Zhuk the first deputy of the Minister of education represents our country at 8-th Session.
Specialist from ministry has noted, that one of the basic functions of institute is "to assist the development of regional programs on application of information technologies in education in all states members and, in particular, in the states of the Commonwealth of Independent States". Primary activity of experts should be directed to retrain and improve the teachers` professional skills in the field of application of information and communication technologies in education, and also to develop multimedia in education.
Executive Board of regional branches also discuss on its sessions questions of development and application of information and communication technologies to remote and secondary education, to the process of studying foreign languages. Board also discusses matters of electronic libraries` presence in education and others.
